Anasazi Inc. was founded in 1979 by W. Thomas Castleberry, with the vision to be a global leader in providing systems and service solutions to the hospitality and travel industry. Today, Anasazi is widely regarded as the industry leader in software design, development and systems integration for the hospitality industry's central reservations needs.

Anasazi is unique in the fact that it is the only company offering solutions to all segments of the industry by: licensing its software, providing call center services, offering systems outsourcing options and private-label services to chains or independents and small management companies.

Anasazi is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona with marketing, administration, and development in a shared facility with a dedicated call center area. In addition, the company has a dedicated outsourcing computer center and call center in a newly renovated building several miles from headquarters. Anasazi operates offices throughout the world to include Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo, Sydney, Frankfurt, London & Birmingham to support its varied business activities.

Anasazi's current business is focused on providing products and services within the hospitality marketplace. The Company's suite of products features ALESA (Anasazi Lodging Enterprise System Architecture) and the Anasazi Central Reservation System (CRS), which is a fully developed operating system for the management of lodging reservations and product inventory control. The CRS is sold as a licensed product to customers and forms the base for the Anasazi's services offering. The Anasazi CRS currently serves 50 brands, representing more than 9,500 properties and over 1 million rooms worldwide.

Anasazi opened its first reservation facility adjacent to its headquarters in November 1991. The facility, which has a capacity for approximately 180 reservation agents, offers voice calls, global distribution and database services. Anasazi's second reservation facility has approximately 80 agents with ongoing plans to add additional agents. A third location is planned for the end of 1997 and will most likely be in Arizona.

The Company further expanded into marketing representation within the hospitality industry in November 1993 with the acquisition of LRI and The Grande Collection of Hotels. In 1995, Anasazi acquired the Dallas based marketing and reservation service company, Travel Resources Management Group along with its brands — Sterling Hotels & Resorts and World Hotels & Resorts — creating Anasazi Travel Resources Inc. ATRI's combined operational power provides hotel representation and marketing services to a strong client base of independent hotels and small management companies worldwide.

In addition, Anasazi has undertaken other major industry initiatives such as the development and operations of UltraSwitch on behalf of The Hotel Industry Switch Company (THISCO). UltraSwitch provides the electronic links between the world's major Global Distribution Systems and the world's major hotel companies, which jointly own THISCO. Another initiative Anasazi had, along with THISCO, was the development of global hotel reservations for the Internet user. The result was NetRez, a system which provides the ability to search hotel availability and securely confirm reservations in real-time through TravelWeb on the Internet.

Anasazi has approximately 600 employees worldwide. Continued hiring of entry level through highly skilled technical and development positions is ongoing. General benefits for employees include medical on date of hire, 401K after 6 months, legal assistance, long-term disability, life insurance and dental. Entry level employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days of employment.
